Back in March we brought to your guys attention an article written by the Chronic Dev-Team, whichessentially shared thoughts on the Apple TV’s future. One aspect of the Apple TV that was discussed was the possibility of an App Store. Due to shared memory storage and a lack of input devices, the author of this article wrote off that the Apple TV in its current state would be getting an App Store.
We have heard from a source that Apple will be introducing a TV SDK at WWDC next week. This would enable third-party developers to create software for Apple’s TV products. BGR reported late last month that Apple has plans to demonstrate an all new TV operating system during its WWDC keynote next week.
With numerous companies trying to make a “smart TV” that features downloadable applications, it makes sense that Apple wants to get in on this business. Especially when you take a look at most ofthe Apple TV’s competitors (such as Boxee) that come with some sort of app functionality already. Although this is just a rumor, I personally see Apple talking about some sort of Apple TV SDK at the WWDC 2012.
Do you think the Apple TV will get an SDK? Share your responses and further thoughts in the comments section below.

According to a recent report from BGR however, the Apple TV will be getting a sort of App Store. If their “trusted source” is indeed correct an official Apple SDK will be released, which would enable developers to create a variety of apps for the Apple TV.
